Leading UK Sage Partner
Sage X3 · Sage Intacct
I help finance leaders replace systems that have quietly become a constraint. Sage X3 for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors. Sage Intacct for finance, professional services, SaaS, legal and non-profit. The work is rarely about software alone; it is about the teams, data and processes that decide whether a transformation actually holds.
Where I spend my time
01 — FocusSage X3
Mid-market to enterprise ERP for businesses whose complexity has outgrown their current system: multi-site, multi-company, multi-currency, real supply chains.
- Finance, distribution and manufacturing in one model
- Multi-entity and international operations
- Cloud or on-premise deployment
Sage Intacct
Cloud-native financial management for CFOs who need a faster close, cleaner consolidation and reporting that answers the question without a spreadsheet rebuild.
- Dimensional reporting and real-time insight
- Multi-entity consolidation and revenue recognition
- Project accounting and subscription billing
X3CloudDocs
AI-driven document and process automation we built ourselves, now used across six continents. It removes the manual handling that quietly consumes a finance team.
- Purchase invoice automation (PIA)
- Sales order automation (SOA)
- Document management and notifications (EDM, ENA)

is usually to do nothing
02 — Point of view
Most finance leaders do not lose money on the ERP project they ran. They lose it on the one they deferred.
Deferral feels prudent because its cost never lands on a single line of the P&L. It is spread across late closes, rekeyed data, workarounds that only one person understands, and decisions made a fortnight after they were needed. None of it appears on a business case, which is precisely why it survives.
My argument to a CFO is not that transformation is easy. It is that the comparison is rarely stated honestly. Put a number against the status quo, phase the change so it can be paused rather than abandoned, and the decision becomes commercial rather than emotional.
That is also why we run vertical ERP-selection sessions rather than generic demos. Buyers arrive with a live problem, and they leave with a comparison they can defend to a board.
- How long does your month-end actually take? Not the reported figure. The point at which finance stops correcting it.
- How much of your finance team is rekeying? Invoice handling, order entry and reconciliation are usually the first things automation repays.
- What does a new entity, site or country cost you? If the answer is a project, the system is now a constraint on the growth plan.
- Who is the single point of failure? Most mid-market finance functions have one. Key-person risk is a system problem, not an HR one.
- Could you evidence your numbers under audit tomorrow? Compliance and reporting obligations keep tightening. Spreadsheet chains do not.

About
05 — BackgroundI am Managing Director of Mysoft, a leading UK Sage partner. We implement and support Sage X3 and Sage Intacct for organisations in the UK, the United States and Canada, and we build our own automation software for Sage X3.
My interest is in the part of this work that is not technical. Selection processes that stall. Business cases that never quantify the alternative. Implementations that go live and then slowly decay because nobody owned them afterwards. Software is the straightforward half.
I write about ERP selection, finance transformation and where automation genuinely repays the investment. If any of that is live for you, LinkedIn is the fastest way to reach me.
